Rösebeck is the southernmost district of the city of Borgentreich in the Höxter district in North Rhine-Westphalia . State road 838 runs through the village .

history

On December 14, 840, King Ludwig the German stopped in the place on his return from the Reichstag in Paderborn . There he issued a certificate to Corvey Monastery , which named the place Rosbah uilla in addition to the date . At that time there was an imperial or royal court in Rösebeck. The church was also mentioned very early, namely in the year 965. In that year, Emperor Otto I donated the royal court Rosbach (Rösebeck) and the associated towns Westuffeln , Burguffeln , Heckershausen , Medrike , to the Mauritius monastery in Magdeburg with the imperial certificate No. Niederelsungen , Gottsbüren and a stage with churches and all other accessories.
