Rudiger Feulner

Rüdiger Feulner (born December 29, 1969 in Kulmbach ) is a German Catholic theologian , professor and diplomat at the Vatican .

Life

Youth and education

Feulner, his parents 'house is located next to the Catholic parish church in Enchenreuth , attended the elementary school in Kulmbach-Ziegelhütten and, from 1981, the Archbishop's Boys' College Ottonianum in Bamberg . In 1990 he graduated from the humanistic Franz-Ludwig-Gymnasium in Bamberg and then entered the Archbishop's seminary in Bamberg. From 1990 to 1992 he studied theology, philosophy, history and classical philology at the Otto Friedrich University in Bamberg and from 1992 to 1994 at the Leopold Franzens University Innsbruck as a seminarist at the International Collegium Canisianum. In 1994 he was awarded the Mag. Theol. and to Mag. phil. After being ordained a priest on June 24, 1995 in Bamberg, he continued his studies in Innsbruck and obtained his doctorate in April 1997. phil. (Metaphysics) and in November 1997 Dr. theol. ( Dogmatics ).

From 1997 to 1999 he was parish administrator in various parishes in the Archdiocese of Bamberg . Between 1999 and 2001 he studied diplomacy at the Pontificia Accademia Ecclesiastica in Rome and at the same time studied canon law at the Pontifical University of Angelicum , where he obtained his Lic. Iur. can. received his doctorate.

Church career

From June to September 2000 he worked at the Apostolic Nunciature in Bolivia , then from 2001 to 2002 Nunciature Secretary at the Apostolic Nunciature in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan, from 2002 to 2008 Nunciature Secretary at the Apostolic Nunciature in Austria and from 2008 to 2012 Nunciature Secretary of the Apostolic Nunciature in Germany . A study visit to London followed from April to December 2012. In 2013 he was transferred to the Apostolic Nunciature in Venezuela as a Legation Councilor . In 2014 he was transferred to the Apostolic Nunciature in Brussels , where he worked until April 2019. In July 2019 he appointed Archbishop Ludwig Schick of assistant priest in the deanery court based in Wartenfels .

Since 2003 he has been teaching as a visiting professor in the field of dogmatics and the history of dogma at the Heiligenkreuz University of Applied Sciences . In 2014 he was appointed Professor of Dogmatics and the History of Dogmas at the Theological Faculty of the Catholic University of Caracas. Msgr. Feulner, honorary conventual chaplain of the Sovereign Order of Malta since 2003 , has been chairman of the Friends of the Pilgrimage Basilica Marienweiher eV since 2010 and since 2014 also the Foundation Board of the Pilgrimage Basilica Marienweiher .

Since 2006 he has been a member of the Catholic student association KAV Bajuvaria Vienna in the ÖCV
