The RSC Blitz 1932 eV Schiefbahn is a cycling club in Willich - Schiefbahn belonging to the Association of German Cyclists (BDR) , which offers the sports of artificial cycling , cycling and cycling tourism .

history

The cycling club was founded in 1932 with a total of 13 members. Founders in the VerSeidAG clubhouse were Josef Beschoten († 1957), Albert Beschoten , Hans Beschoten, Johannes Beschoten , Richard Frehn, Johann Hecker († 1953), Heinrich Jansen († 1981), Martin Leenen, Hermann Seidel, Martin Seidel, Heinrich Stinnertz and Max Ungermanns.

At the beginning, they joined the German Cyclist Union (DRU). The first bikes were handcrafted by Josef Beschoten. Like other sports clubs, the RSC Blitz was dissolved in 1933 and transferred to the German Cyclists Association (DRV). After the Second World War, rebuilding began in 1945. Due to a wrong decision in two-man artificial cycling, the club resigned from the BDR in protest in 1955 and joined the Rad- und Kraftfahrerbund Solidarität (RKB) for a few years . When the Radball Bundesliga was founded in 1963, the club team was able to qualify for it. Among other things, the team of six showed their skills at the Expo 58 in Brussels in cycling and artificial cycling. Back then, as now, the sports of artificial cycling, cycling ball and cycling were offered. In 1977 a gymnastics department followed, which by then had been in existence for 15 years. This belonged to the Rheinischer Turnerbund (RTB).

The association has been organizing the Willich Volksradfahren for many years , which was already the tenth event in 1981, with a total of 47,000 participants. In 1992 the club hosted the German championship in artificial cycling for the first time.

The club logo was revised in 2015 to bring it up to date. The increased influx of members of the cycling tourism department made it necessary to include the same department in the club's coat of arms. Therefore the graphic for the round trip was removed and replaced by a bicycle tourist.
