R Airlines ( Thai อา ร์ แอร์ ไลน์ , officially Skyview Airways Co., Ltd. ) was a Thai charter airline based in Bangkok and based at Don Mueang Airport . Its operations have been inactive since the end of 2017 because the company has to undergo an inspection by the Thai Aviation Authority and in February 2018 the airline ceased operations entirely.

history

R Airlines was founded in 2012, originally to fly vacationers from China and South Korea to Thailand in IT charter traffic . Operations should start in autumn 2012 with two leased Boeing 737-400s . In addition, the company wanted to offer charter services between Frankfurt and Bangkok-Don Mueang with a rented Boeing 777-200ER , which was not implemented. In November 2012, R Airlines took over a leased Boeing 737-400, which was initially not used.

On January 24, 2013, the airline started its first charter flights between Bangkok and Gaya , Bihar , India , with Thai monks and tourists from Changchun .

Destinations

R Airlines offered Macau from Bangkok in addition to Chiang Mai in Thailand .

As of February 2018, R Airlines no longer owned any aircraft.

In the past, Airbus A319-100 , Airbus A320-200 , Airbus A321-200 and Boeing 737-400 were operated.
