history

Radio TOP FM emerged from the transmitter Radio FFB 106.4, which began broadcasting on May 19, 1990. On October 9, 2002, the BLM advertised a third of the broadcast time. Imcom Immobilien und Medien GmbH & Co. KG was awarded the contract, and BLM accordingly approved the change in ownership and ownership. Imcom Immobilien und Medien GmbH & Co. KG received voting rights on program issues through its participation. In the course of this, the station was further restructured and renamed 106.4 TOP FM. The broadcaster gained national recognition in connection with the allocation of press seats in the NSU process. In October 2017, a new partial broadcasting area and new frequencies were added with the districts of Ebersberg, Freising and Erding. Since then the program has been running under the name "Radio TOP FM".

Musically, the station offers a mix of pop rock and rock from the 1970s to 2000s. In terms of content, the station sees itself as an ' infotainment provider'. The “TOP FM local reporters” report news from the districts on the hour. The TOP FM morning show “Die Pürzers am Morgen” offers a mixture of entertainment and music.

The technical range is around 3.0 million listeners, over two million listeners receive the station via cable.
