Raffaele Castielli
Raffaele Castielli (born March 5, 1927 in Faeto , Foggia province , Italy ; † August 3, 2018 in Lucera ) was an Italian clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Lucera-Troia .
Life
Raffaele Castielli was ordained a priest for the diocese of Lucera on July 9, 1950 and was incardinated on September 30, 1986 in the clergy of the unified diocese of Lucera-Troia .
Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Lucera-Troia on February 11, 1987 . The Archbishop of Foggia-Bovino , Salvatore De Giorgi , ordained him episcopal on March 25th of the same year; Co- consecrators were Valentino Vailati , Archbishop of Manfredonia e Vieste , and Carmelo Cassati MSC , Archbishop of Trani-Barletta-Bisceglie .
On May 18, 1996, John Paul II accepted his resignation for health reasons.
