action

The brothers Magne and Laurits move back to their hometown Edda in western Norway with their widowed mother Turid. The city is suffering from global warming and melting glaciers and puzzling symptoms of poisoning. When the good-natured Magne is helping a wheelchair user, an older woman comes up to him and strokes his forehead. From then on he developed unimagined physical strength and abilities. His nearsightedness also disappears.

At school, Magne befriends the environmental activist and blogger Isolde. This is on the search for the causes of the environmental damage. She suspects that the family-owned company Jutul is behind it. The entrepreneur Vidar practically rules the city, his wife Ran is the director of the high school and their children Saxa and Fjor attend the same school class as Magne and Laurits. When Isolde dies under mysterious circumstances, Magne begins to investigate.

In the course of the plot it becomes clear that the four members of the Jutul family really belong to the immortal giants who have lived undetected among humans for thousands of years and are hostile to them and the gods. Magne is increasingly transformed into an incarnation of the god Thor , the protector of the human world, or one of his sons .
