Ralf Voigt (born December 31, 1964 in Hude ) is a German soccer coach and former soccer player .
Career
player
The defender Ralf Voigt began his career as a striker at FC Hude . Via TuSG Ritterhude , he moved to VfB Oldenburg in 1985 , which at the time played in the third-class Oberliga Nord . In his very first season, the Oldenburg runners-up, but failed in the promotion round to the 2nd Bundesliga . In 1988 VfB came third and qualified for the German amateur championship . The Oldenburg team reached the final against Eintracht Trier via the stations Tennis Borussia Berlin and TSV Vestenbergsgreuth . The Trier won the game on penalties .
In the summer of 1989 Voigt moved to the second division club VfL Osnabrück and made his professional debut on July 29, 1989 in a 1-1 draw against SV Meppen . After three years in which he scored eleven goals in 95 games for VfL, he went to Wuppertaler SV , which had just been promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga. Voigt stayed in the stadium at the Zoo for two years and scored four goals in 41 games before he continued at Fortuna Düsseldorf after the Wuppertal's relegation . Fortuna had just been promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga and made it through to the Bundesliga with Voigt as third in the table . He scored nine times in 32 games.
However, Ralf Voigt stayed in the 2nd Bundesliga and joined the promoted Arminia Bielefeld , who also made it through to the Bundesliga as runner-up in the 1995/96 season . Voigt wore the Arminia jersey 26 times and scored three goals. However, he left the Alm at the end of the season with an unknown destination. During the 1997/98 season Voigt played five more times without scoring for the second division SV Meppen , but could not prevent the Emsländer relegation as bottom of the table. After a short detour to the Greek club Panionios Athens , Voigt ended his career in 1999 after a season with the regional division 1. FC Saarbrücken .
Trainer
Voigt began his coaching career at VfL Brake , with whom he won the district cup in 2006. Between 2011 and 2016 he worked as a coach at the association of contract football players and also trained the amateur club GVO Oldenburg . In 2015 Voigt returned to VfB Oldenburg, where he worked as a sporting director, sporting director and at a game as an interim trainer. In the summer of 2018 he took over as a coach at Bremer SV .
