Randy Lap Lew (born July 3, 1985 in Sacramento , California ) is a professional American poker player . He is also a commentator for the Triton Super High Roller Series .

Personal

Lew is the son of Chinese parents. As a child he loved computer games. While studying economics at the University of California at Davis , Lew regularly took part in national tournaments in the Marvel vs. Capcom 2 part. It was at these tournaments that he met friends who introduced him to poker . Lew lives in Mountain View . He is in a relationship with the poker player Celina Lin and has been engaged since March 2018. At the end of October 2019, they became parents to a daughter.

Poker career

Lew taught himself to play poker and opened an account with the online poker room PokerStars under the nickname nanonoko . In November 2009 he had already earned more than one million US dollars there . From 2007 to 2011 and 2013 he achieved the highest status as Supernova Elite . In January 2012, Lew set a new Guinness World Record by playing a total of 23,493 hands in eight hours online. In 2014 he was inducted into the PokerStars VIP Club Hall of Fame as the second player after George Lind . Lew was also part of Team PokerStars for many years , so was sponsored by PokerStars during this time .
