The town hall fountain made of red porphyry in the inner courtyard of the town hall in Bern.

The Rathaushofbrunnen , also known as firm wells and Hermes Fountain , stands in the courtyard of Berne Town Hall on Town Hall Square 2 in the Old Town of Bern .

history

The delicate fountain in the courtyard was created in 1942 by Max Fueter . The fountain is carved from red porphyry , the figure (a little messenger of the gods, Hermes ) was poured by Karl Herzig in Ligerz , the fire gilding of the same was provided by Fritz Beutel in Bern.
