Rebordelo is a municipality in northeastern Portugal , in the Trás-os-Montes region .

In Rebordelo there is a small traditional community of the Jewish community in Portugal .

The Rebordelo dam, completed in 2004, is located near Rebordelo.

history

Finds prove a prehistoric settlement, for example the cave at the waterfalls of Fraga dos Mouros .

The two tin mines Alto do Sarilho and Trigueiriça no.1 were probably operated in pre- Roman times. They are not yet fully exploited, but have been out of service for a long time due to inefficiency.

The current town was probably created in the course of the new settlements after the Reconquista . Rebordelo was first listed in the royal registers from 1258.
