Recipe for Hate is the seventh studio album by the punk band Bad Religion . It was released in 1993 and was their last album before moving from Epitaph Records to Atlantic Records . Musically, the album continues the experiments from the previous Generator and contains folk and country elements in songs like Man With a Mission and Struck a Nerve . Struck a Nerve includes a guest appearance by Johnette Napolitano of Concrete Blonde . Also appeared Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam at American Jesus and Watch It Die with.
In terms of content, the socially critical songs - as is usual with Bad Religion - deal with alcoholism, abortion and homelessness, among other things. In a fan poll, the title American Jesus on the album was voted the best bad religion song of all time.
