Election to the Reichsrat 1867
The Reichsrat election in 1867 was the first Reichsrat election in Cisleithanien after Hungary left the Austrian state. The Austrian half of the empire received a new constitution, again in the form of several individual laws (so-called December constitution of December 21, 1867). The State Basic Law on Reich Representation in the version of 1861 was incorporated into the new Basic Laws, but no longer referred to the countries of the Hungarian crown and the lost Lombardy-Veneto .
Electoral system
The mandataries were elected by the diets of the kingdoms and countries represented in the Imperial Council. The number of MPs was fixed at 203; 54 of these were in Bohemia , 38 in Galicia , Lodomeria and Krakow , 22 in Moravia and 18 in Austria under the Enns .
