Parliamentary election in Hungary 1901
The parliamentary elections in Hungary in 1901 took place in Transleithanien from October 2 to 9, 1901 . The Hungarian Reichstag ( Hungarian Magyar Országgyűlés ) was newly occupied .
Electoral system
In the Kingdom of Hungary and its crown lands , class suffrage had been in effect since 1867 . Privileges of class and property were much more decisive in Hungary than in Austria.
Election result
The result was a victory for the Liberal Party , which won 277 of the 413 seats.
