reception
For example, reviews of the compilation highlighted the improved sound quality thanks to the remastering. Chris Welch heard from the Metal Hammer "vocals, guitar licks, here and there little curlicues from Robert, Jimmy and John Paul, which, compared to my crackling old albums, come out with a clarity that almost knocks me away." About the sense or nonsense of The press did not agree on the musical composition. Remasters was judged to be either a representative entry-level selection or less rewarding compared to the original albums.
“Selection of songs is fairly representative of Zeppelin's career although far from being 'the best of'. If you are a Led Zeppelin neophyte, this compilation is good to introduce you to the sound and various music styles they played. "
“[T] his double-disc set only gives a slight idea of what the band accomplished in its career; stick with the original albums instead. "
