Eva Repková (born January 16, 1975 in Stará Ľubovňa ) is a Slovak chess master .

Career

Repková learned to play chess at the age of five while watching his parents' Sunday game. Her first marriage was to a Lebanese. She played for Lebanon from 1997 to 2001. Her son Christopher was born in 1998 and has been the grandmaster since 2018 . She has been married to FIDE Master Eric Peterson since 2002 . Peterson is a co-founder of the Internet Chess Club . With him and her brother, she runs an international computer company.

Repková received the title of Grand Master of Women (WGM) in 1995 and the title of International Master (IM) in 2007 . She met the required IM standards at the Wroxham Masters 2002 in Norwich , in the Slovak team championship in 2006/07 and in 2007 at the 23rd Open in Cappelle-la-Grande .

She won or occupied top places in several tournaments: 1st place at the Women's Championship in Czechoslovakia in Pardubice (1991), 2nd place at the U18 World Championship (girls) in Bratislava (1993), 1st place at the 4th Arab Women's Championship in Beirut (2000), 1st place in Rijeka (2003), 1st place in Malinska (2005), 1st place Aarhus -Summer-A (2009).

National team

Repková took part in the women's chess Olympiads in 1992 , 1994 , 1996 , 2004 , 2006 , 2008 , 2010 , 2014 , 2016 and 2018 as well as the women's team championships in 1992, 2001 and 2017, achieving the second-best individual result on the first reserve board in 2001. At the Mitropacup she played in the open class on the third board in 2005 and 2006 (she was also nominated in 2014 and 2015, but remained without commitment), where she reached third place with the team in 2006, and played in 2013, 2016, 2017 and 2018 at the women's competition. Repková won this in 2013 with Júlia Kočetková , in the individual evaluation she achieved the best result on the top board in 2013 and 2016.

In the Czechoslovak team championship 1991/92 Repková played for the ŠK Tatran Prešov . In the Slovak Extraliga , she played from 1993 to 1995 for ŠK Slovan Rimavská Sobota , with whom she won the championship in 1995, from 1995 to 1997 and from 2003 to 2005 for ŠK Tatran Prešov , in the 2002/03 season and from 2005 to 2007 for the ŠK Hydina Košice , from 2007 to 2012 for the MŠK KdV Kežmarok , in the season 2012/13 for 7 Statočných Košice and from 2013 to 2016 for the team of ŠO ŠKM Stará Ľubovňa , with whom they won the Slovak team championship in 2015 and 2016 won, in the 2016/17 season for Šachový klub Sabinov and in the 2017/18 and 2019/20 seasons for ŠO TJ Slávia UPJŠ Košice .

In the Austrian 1st Bundesliga , Repková played for SK Bregenz in the 2016/17 season and for the ASVÖ Pamhagen team in the 2017/18 season , with whom she was already registered in the 2014/15 season , but was not used. With Pamhagen, Repková also won the Austrian Women's Bundesliga in 2016/17 . In the German women's Bundesliga she played from 2011 to 2013 for SF 1891 Friedberg .
