The Reserve Jäger Battalion No. 6 was an infantry unit of the Prussian Army .

History and formation

The Reserve Jäger Battalion No. 6 was set up in Oels on August 1, 1914 on the basis of a mobilization order from the 2nd Silesian Jäger Battalion 6 . The battalion was initially set up with 4 hunter companies. In the course of 1915, the battalion received its own machine-gun company.

The battalion was disbanded after returning from France to the Oels garrison at the end of December 1918.
