Hans Christian von Rhoeden

Hans Christian von Rhoeden († March 30, 1716 in Bielefeld ) was a Prussian major general and commander of the Cuirassier Regiment No. 2 , whose chief was King Friedrich .

Life

origin

His parents were Duser Friedrich von Rhoeden and Sophie Elisabeth von Weyher from the Mulckentin family .

Military career

He had served from below in the Prussian cavalry and then became a colonel in the king's regiment . In 1709 he was commander of the regiment until he had to hand it over to Thomas August von Grote in 1713 on the orders of the king . He has participated in numerous campaigns and battles with the regiment. Shortly before his death, he was promoted to major general.

Also was Rhoeden owner of part of the goods Ruhnow in Pomeranian Pomerania and Neumark good Winningen. He had received loan letters pertaining to this in Küstrin on May 29, 1689, in Stargard November 21, 1699 and again in Stargard on November 14, 1714. After the death of his younger son, his father-in-law bought the debt-laden portion of Runow.

family

During his stay in Brabant he married the baroness Anna Elisabeth Klara von Hanxler zu Müddersheim , with whom he had two sons and three daughters. The daughters were successfully married. Of his sons, Johann Friedrich Wilhelm (1703–1750) died unmarried as a grenadier captain, while Christian Joseph Leopold (* 1706; † before 1748) married NN von Wedel from the Berkenbrück family , but the couple had no male heirs.
