Rhonda Heath

Rhonda Heath (born July 19 around 1955 in New York City ) is an American singer .

Life

Rhonda Heath began playing the piano at the age of five . She studied music education at Adrian College in Adrian , Michigan , and then took acting classes.

During one of her appearances in a New York club, she was discovered by Sylvester Levay and Michael Kunze , whom she brought to Munich in 1976 as a replacement for Linda G. Thompson for the successful women's disco band Silver Convention . The single Everybody's Talkin '' 'bout Love , released at the time, reached number 25 in the British music charts . In 1977, the formation with the song Telegram reached eighth place at the Eurovision Song Contest in London and was able to place it at number 27 in the German charts. The album Summernights / Golden Girls reached number 71 in the United States, the compilation Greatest Hits reached number 34 in the United Kingdom and number one in the United States.

After the breakup in 1979, she released her first solo single with Kunzes Munich music label Karma. In late 1981 she won third place with her song Forever and more at a song festival in Seoul, South Korea. More singles and two albums followed by 1983. In 1985 she replaced Judy Cheeks in the disco trio La Mama . The trio broke up in the same year. Heath has also worked as a guest and studio singer for other well-known performers. As such, she took part in the Eurovision Song Contest again in 1985 for Gary Lux and in 1994 for Mekado .

She is married and still lives in Munich today.
