The rampart Altenberg is an Outbound prehistoric and ring wall at 275  m above sea level. NHN on the Altenberg (formerly mons antiquus ) about 1270 meters east-northeast of the church in Garitz , a district of the health resort Bad Kissingen in the Bad Kissingen district in Bavaria .

Remnants of ramparts and moats are still preserved from the former castle , probably a Celtic fortress .
