The Road Runners MC is from Poland originating Outlaw Motorcycle Club .

History of origin

The beginnings of the Road Runners MC go back to 1978. When the club was founded, its name was VC 1978 , which comes from the abbreviation for Veteran Club 1978. The club's name and current colors were not adopted until a few years later. The name Road Runners comes from the type of motorcycle tire used by club members at the time. As Backpatch was a winged wheel and selected black and yellow as club colors. The Road Runners MC is the oldest motorcycle club from Poland. Over the years, the club's effectiveness has expanded from originally Silesia to all of Poland. In 2005 the founder and president of the club Miroslaw Miro Stefanczyk died. He is said to have played a key role in the development of the motorcycle and rocker scene in Poland and was a legend among Polish motorcyclists even during his lifetime . Motorcyclists from all over the world came together for his funeral. Road Runners MC is one of the initiators and board member of the Polskich Klubów Motocyklowych Congress , an umbrella organization of Polish motorcycle clubs .

Chapter

Over the years 17 Polish chapters were created, some of which, after completing a probationary period, run under the name Road Runners MC. In 2005, the first chapter abroad was launched - the Chicago Prospect Chapter in the USA , which on May 27, 2006 became the Road Runners MC Chicago Chapter and became a full club member. The Road Runners MC Nomads Chapter was founded in March 2006 to give members who had to leave their chapters due to emigration or change of residence the opportunity to remain a member of the club. In 2007, a group supporting the club called RR Support Crew Austria was founded in Vienna ( Austria ) , which, after 2 years of support activities, was run as the Vienna Prospect Chapter from September 2009 and is currently a full member of the Road Runners MC Nomads "Road Runners Nation" is.

Several members of the Road Runners MC were suspected of being connected to various criminal activities until in December 2006 several members, including the club's board of directors , were arrested by the Polish Federal Criminal Police Office Centralne Biuro Śledcze . The charges included the formation of a criminal organization . The suspicion was not confirmed, and all but one member who died while in custody in suspicious circumstances, were from the in 2007 remand dismissed. The media reports surrounding the arrest were criticized by the Polish director and filmmaker Sylvester Latkowski. Latkowski plans to make a film about the motorcycle club that he wants to get to know personally. In Austria, too, the authorities reacted to the establishment of the Vienna Prospect Chapter. During a search of the club's premises in Vienna's 16th district, as well as some of the members' apartments, by the Vienna Criminal Police, numerous firearms as well as cutting and stabbing weapons were seized. According to the Austrian police, "traces of drugs , in particular amphetamines" were also found, which the members of the club deny. The investigation has not yet been completed.

Charitable activity

The Road Runners MC was and is the initiator and organizer of several events with a charitable purpose. Every year at the Hard Core Party in Skarżysko-Kamienna , the largest event of the Road Runners, a collection and auction of specially made gold and silver meeting badges for the benefit of seriously ill children takes place. Smaller collections and auctions also take place at the other Road Runners events. The association is also co-initiator and organizer of a nationwide campaign under the name MotoSerce (freely translated motor-heart), in which every year all motorcyclists in Poland are called upon to donate blood. The chapter in Białystok also supports a Polish children's home in Supraśl . The association donated bicycles for the children and helped with the renovation of the home.

Identical names

In Germany , Switzerland and the USA there are other motorcycle clubs with the name Road Runners MC, but these are supposed to be coincidental names and not offshoots of the Polish club.
