Rob Schwimmer

Rob Schwimmer (* 1955 ) is an American jazz and improvisation musician ( piano , keyboard , theremin , organ , daxophone , hook continuum , zither , percussion ) and film composer .

Live and act

Rob Schwimmer worked since the early 1980s a. a. with Annette Peacock , Thurman Barker , Roger Eckstine , James Emery , Haruhiko Takauchi , Bob Belden , Zane Massey . In 1999 he created the trio album Theremin Noir with Uri Caine and Mark Feldman , followed by The Zmiros Project (Traditional Crossroads 2001), which he recorded with trumpeter Frank London and Klezmatics singer Lorin Sklamberg , and the solo piano album Beyond the Sky (2006). In the field of jazz he was involved in 22 recording sessions between 1974 and 2006. As a session musician, he has also worked with Simon & Garfunkel , Stevie Wonder and Bette Midler , and has also written music for films such as Love Walked In (1997, directed by Juan José Campanella ), Kaltes Blut - In the footsteps of Truman Capote (2006), Freeheld ( 2007) and Alien Trespass (2009).
