Robert Arboleda , full name Robert Abel Arboleda Escobar , (born October 22, 1991 in Esmeraldas ) is an Ecuadorian football player . He will be used in the position of a central defender . His strong foot is the right one.

After Arboleda started in clubs in the second division of Ecuador, he came to Liga de Loja in 2013 , with which he competed in the top division of Ecuador. Arboleda played his first Serie A game on January 30, 2013 in the away game against Independiente del Valle . In the game he was substituted on in the 46th minute and received the red card in the 50th. Arboleda 2018 near São Paulo

After two and a half years, Arboleda moved again. He went to Brazil and joined São Paulo FC . On June 21, 2017, his contract with the club was announced. The fee was 6.6 million real. Arboleda made his debut in the Brazilian Série A on matchday 12 of the 2017 season . In the away game against FC Santos on July 9, 2017, he was not only in the starting line-up, but also scored his first goal in the league. He got the goal in the 87th minute to make it 3-2 and the final score. In April 2018, São Paulo extended the contract with Arboleda until June 2022.

National team

Arboleda came to his first appointment for the national team of Ecuador in March 2013. He was in the squad several times that year, but only sat on the reserve bench three times. In May 2016, Arboleda ran for the first time. In the friendly against the United States, he came on in the 73rd minute for Gabriel Achilier . Then he came to more games. In the Copa América Centenario 2016 he was only a reserve player. In the course of qualifying for the 2018 World Cup , he played four games.
