Robert Darville is a former Belgian-Congolese racing driver .

Career in motorsport

Robert Darville competed in sports car races in Africa , France and Belgium in the late 1950s and early 1960s . In 1958 he finished second in the Leopoldville Grand Prix . A year later he won the GT race at this event .

Darville, who in 1961 and 1962 at the km 1000 race in Paris at the start was celebrated in 1962 with the third overall in the Tour de France Automobile his saluted success in motorsport. Partner in the Ferrari 250 GTO was Gérard Langlois van Ophem . In 1962 he was also at the start of the Le Mans 24-hour race , where he retired prematurely after an accident.
