Gérard Langlois van Ophem (* 1935 ) is a former Belgian racing driver .

Career

Gérard Langlois van Ophem is the son of Henri Langlois van Ophem, who, together with Jules de Their, initiated the 24-hour race at Spa-Francorchamps in 1924 . Langlois van Ophem drove sports car races in the 1950s and 1960s and won in Spa in 1965 in a BMW 1800 . His greatest success in motorsport was second overall and class victory at the Le Mans 24-hour race in 1963, where he drove a Ferrari 250 GTO of the Equipe Nationale Belge with Jean Blaton as team partner . In 1961 he was fifth and in 1962 third in the overall GT ranking of the Tour de France for automobiles .
