Robert Lazar

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Robert "Bob" Scott Lazar (born January 26, 1959 in Coral Gables ) is an American ufologist . He claims to have reverse-engineered extraterrestrial technology and has generated media interest because of his comments on UFOs .

Lazar was best known for his claim that he worked on a project at Papoose Lake , near Groom Lake , Nevada , from 1988 to 1989 . According to his own statements, he was there as a physicist in the secret military area S-4 (Sector Four) studying allegedly extraterrestrial aircraft. Lazar is often confronted with criticism and contradictions.

Life

Robert Lazar was the son of Albert Lazar and Phyllis Berliner. Lazar claimed in interviews that his résumé had been "deleted" by secret government organizations. According to his own information, his birth certificate can no longer be found in the hospital in his hometown. Critics doubt this representation because Florida hospitals record birth information but are not required to archive it. It is therefore not unreasonable that the birth information can no longer be found at this point. Whether a birth certificate is available at the official Florida authority (Office of Vital Statistics of the Department of Health and Rehabilitation Services), which stores this data, cannot be checked, as these documents are not available to the public.

Lazar's statements about his education from 1977 to 1978 were just as contradictory as the information about his birth. He himself claimed to have been a student at Cal State University in Northridge for a short time and then to have attended the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) . Robert Lazar is not listed as a student in either the Cal State University or Caltech year books.

On July 27, 1980, he married Carol Nadine Strong in Woodland Hills, California .

Lazar said he attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) around 1982 and obtained a master’s degree there. There is no publicly known evidence for this either, nor are there any entries in the MIT student directories, telephone lists, graduation lists or year books.

On June 27, 1982, the Los Alamos Monitor newspaper published an article about Robert Lazar and his "Honda Jet Car". The front page of the newspaper identified Robert Lazar as "..a physicist at the Los Alamos Meson Physics Facility". The article described a modified Honda Civic Hatchback equipped with an engine made of steel and titanium . According to the article, the engine was operated with fuel made from a combination of liquid propane and kerosene . Lazar spoke in this article about a very economical car that can reach speeds of up to 200 mph.

On April 19, 1986, Lazar and Tracy Anne Murk were married in Las Vegas . At that time Lazar was still married to Carol. The Clark County Recorder's Office had no records of a divorce at the time.

On April 21, 1986, his first wife, Carol Strong, died in Las Vegas. According to the death certificate, she committed suicide. In the document, Robert Lazar was named as the husband.

In November 1989, Lazar appeared for the first time with statements about his work on Alien - technology to the public. In a series of interviews for the television station KLAS-TV Las Vegas, Lazar reported on his time as an employee in the secret military area S-4. Lazar said he was introduced to this work by Edward Teller . Interview partner was the journalist George Knapp. Lazar described his work on disc-shaped aircraft of extraterrestrial origin. He said he went public to protect himself. The publication of the interviews caused great excitement around the world, especially among individuals and groups attributable to para-science . In the following years Lazar appeared repeatedly in various media and at conferences on the subject. One of the most famous conferences was the "Ultimate UFO Seminar" in Rachel (Nevada) in 1993 , at which Lazar gave a detailed account of his work.

After openly admitting in a television interview that he had installed a video system for a brothel in Las Vegas , he was charged with pimping on June 18, 1990. He pleaded guilty and was sentenced on August 20 to six months probation and 150 hours of community service. In addition, he had to seek psychological treatment and stay away from brothels.

Today Robert Lazar runs United Nuclear, a scientific equipment supplier in Klamath Falls , Oregon . United Nuclear offers a range of materials such as radioactive ores , industrial magnets and various chemicals .

statement

Robert Lazar is considered one of the most recognizable names when it comes to Area 51 and alien technology by conspiracy theorists and para -scientists. Its key messages are:

activity

According to his own statements, he worked for the American government on a secret project. After his interview with the Office of Naval Intelligence , he is said to have got a job "on a site outside the city". His job was supposedly to research new drive technologies. As part of his work, he is said to have received documents showing photos of aliens and nine different UFOs . In a hangar, Lazar saw a disk-shaped flying object with a seamless, perfectly smooth surface, as he described in an interview. In addition, his work is said to have consisted in the identification of the element 115, which was the energy source of the flying object. According to his own statements, he saw himself being persecuted by the American authorities and received several death threats, which he did not take seriously either. These reprisals are said to have ultimately been the reason why he went public with his information in order to protect himself.

Element 115

According to Lazar, this element is extremely heavy; 223 g should be enough to operate a spaceship for around 20 to 30 years. The propulsion of such a spaceship is based on several principles: Element 115 is located in the reactor core and is bombarded with protons. As a result, it is converted into the even heavier element 116 . This creates antimatter , which meets normal matter and releases large amounts of energy. The reactor works almost without losses, as the heat generated is converted into electrical energy; this energy creates a gravitational wave . The spaceship creates its own gravitational field . According to Lazar, 450 kg of Element 115 are stored in S-4 .

criticism

Lazar's statements about physics, his occupation in S-4 and his information about his education have been publicly questioned.

Education and activity

There is no verifiable evidence of Lazar's claims regarding his training at Caltech or MIT. Lazar himself never provided evidence of his training. When asked about testimonies, Lazar always spoke about government organizations that want to "erase" his identity. According to a wage / income tax form, Lazar worked for the Naval Intelligence Service in 1989 for a wage of around US $ 950 a week, which is likely to be the same as that of a university graduate.

Element 115

The statements of Lazar about element 115 have been declared absurd by science. Critics, such as physicists David L. Morgan and Stanton Friedman, argue that Lazar's physical views violate a handful of well-accepted physical theories. With many of his statements, according to the critics, Lazar testifies that he does not know many of the fundamental physical theories according to the current state of science. In 1989, Lazar claimed that element 115 was unlikely to occur naturally on Earth, which was consistent with what science knew at the time. Element 115 was first artificially produced on earth in 2004, but the isotope produced had fewer neutrons than would be necessary to reach the island of stability . In another interview, he claimed that element 115 did not occur naturally on Earth but could exist naturally elsewhere in the universe. However, there is still no known stable isotope of the element and Lazar was also unable to provide any information.
