Robert Neish

Robert James Neish AFC CD (born April 22, 1940 in Saint Andrew Parish ) is a retired Jamaican officer.

Life

Robert Neish was born the son of accountant and captain James V. Neish and his wife Marion Aitken-Neish. Neish attended St. Andrew the Preparatory School, then in Saint Elizabeth Parish , the Munro College ( boarding ) and most recently in Kingston , the Jamaica College .

After completing school he joined the British Army's West India Regiment (WIR) in his home country , attended the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst , School of Infantry in Warminster , Wiltshire , and Staff College Camberley . After the establishment of the Jamaica Defense Force (JDF), he was a member of the 1st Battalion / Jamaica Regiment (1JR) and in 1958 the Jamaica Defense Force Air Wing zuversetzt he in rank Major from 1965 to 1969 in the position of Commanding Officer in command . On June 24, 1967, he married Janet E. Wells. The marriage resulted in two sons. From 1973 to 1977 he was Lieutenant Colonel Commander of the Support and Services Battalion .
