Robert Michailowitsch Schawlakadze (რობერტ შავლაყაძე; Russian : Роберт Михайлович Шавлакадзе , born April 1, 1933 in Tbilisi , Transcaucasian SFSR ; † March 4, 2020 ibid) was a Soviet athlete of Georgian origin. With a height of 1.86 m, his competition weight was 80 kg.

At the Olympic Games in Rome in 1960 he was Olympic champion in the high jump . His victory height was 2.16 m. He won gold because he had mastered this height in the first round, while his teammate Valeri Brumel crossed the 2.16 m only in the second attempt. At the European Championships in 1962 Schawlakadze won bronze with 2.09 m. At the Olympic Games in Tokyo in 1964 , Shawlakadze was fifth with 2.14 m. He also set his personal best of 2.17 m in 1964.
