Rock Oz'Arènes
Rock Oz'Arènes is a music festival in Avenches in the Broye-Vully district in the canton of Vaud in Switzerland .
The first festival was held on August 29, 1992. At that time the festival was still called Arènes d'Avenches . In 1993 the festival was renamed Rire & Rock . Since 1995 the festival has been held under the name Rock Oz'Arènes .
Festivals
In the 15th edition in 2005, around 32,000 visitors visited the festival over five days. At the 17th festival from August 12 to 16, 2008, Zucchero , Sinéad O'Connor , MC Solaar , Alpha Blondy and Martin Solveig were on the program.
In 2009 the 18th festival took place from August 12th to 15th. The festival was opened by Status Quo . Furthermore attended among others Philipp Fankhauser , Roger Hodgson , Simply Red , Calexico , The Offspring , Laurent Wolf , Joachim Garraud , Madcon , Natalie Imbruglia , Kejnu and Gotthard part. The bands performed on three stages (main stage, casino stage and 20 minutes live stage).
In 2010 the 19th festival took place from August 11th to 14th. Among others, Status Quo , Monster Magnet , Placebo , Gotan Project , Christophe Maé , Axelle Red , Florent Pagny and Goldfrapp were there . In 2015 the festival registered around 45,000 visitors. Around 40,000 guests came to the 25th edition of Rock Oz'Arènes in 2016, with Stephan Eicher as the main act .
