Rockollection is a French and English language pop song composed and performed by Laurent Voulzy . Alain Souchon wrote the text.

Rockollection is an artificial word made up of rock and collection .

The song was one of the first to mix several oldies as a mix and at the same time was a commercial success in many countries, especially in discos . This also applied to the German-speaking countries and especially Switzerland . In Germany Voulzy performed with this song in the television music shows disco and music store . Thus this new form of mixing became known to a wider audience. The song, published in 1977, reflects in French the memories of adults at that time of their youth and illustrates them with mostly English-language oldies from the 1960s . Voulzy also released the song in English and Spanish language versions.

Since the original version from 1977, Voulzy has released the song several times with partially changed lyrics and other oldies.
