Roli-Ann Neubauer (born as Roli-Ann Andarina Edward Ogharanemeye Nikagbatse , born September 15, 1984 in Berlin ) is a German national basketball player . In January 2012, the daughter of a changed Nigerian father and a Finnish mother together with her siblings, including former German basketball national team Misan Haldin heard her surname in Haldin (surname of their mother) after they have been under the family name of her father Nikagbatse known was.
In 1996, she concentrated on basketball after previously practicing several sports side by side. In 2000 she suffered a first knee injury, and in 2001, after her recovery with Aschaffenburg, she was able to celebrate the runner-up in the 1st women's basketball division ( DBBL ). In 2002, Haldin was brought in by former national coach Olaf Lange to master BTV Gold-Zack Wuppertal , where she and her team immediately won the title of German champions .
In 2003, the 1.76 m tall athlete went to the United States to study at Liberty University in Lynchburg ( VA ) and played for the Flames college team in the NCAA . With the Liberty Flames, Haldin, who was used as a build-up and wing player, won the championships of the Big South Conference and was also voted "Defense Player of the Year" in the 2005/06 season under her original name Nikagbatse. In 2005 they surprisingly reached the second round "Sweet Sixteen" in the national finals, where they were clearly defeated against the top seeded Lady Tigers of Louisiana State University .
At the 2007 European Championships in Chieti , Italy , she was active for the women's national team . After only one preliminary round victory they were eliminated in the intermediate round. She then stayed in Italy, where her brother Misan had also played from 2004 to 2007, and played for the second division Faleria 2000 in the 2007/08 season. The club moved in 2008 from Porto Sant'Elpidio to Porto San Giorgio . In January 2010, she joined the league rivals in Alcamo, Sicily .
After the end of the season Haldin returned to Germany and played from the 2010/11 season in the DBBL for the "Wildcats" from Wolfenbüttel . There she tore both patellar tendons during training in December 2010. During convalescence, another patellar tendon tore off. Nevertheless, Roli Ann was able to play again for the Wildcats Wolfenbüttel in October 2011 at the home game against the Chemcats Chemnitz. She published a video about this period of suffering on Facebook . After the descent and bankruptcy of the Wildcats Wolfenbüttel, she left the club.
Haldin moved to the ALBA Berlin club , where she works in various functions as a trainer in the youth sector and as a player in wheelchair basketball.
In July 2014 Roli-Ann married Haldin and took the surname of her husband's Neubauer.
