Rosenschantz also Rosenschanz is the name of an extinct Swedish - Mecklenburg - Prussian noble family .
history
On May 14, 1652 Günther Rosenschantz was under the sub. No. 570 in the Swedish nobility added . He, his sons and descendants worked as officers in the Swedish and later also in the Prussian army . With Wilhelm Ludwig Leopold von Rosenschanz (1793–1818), lieutenant of the Black Squad , the male line of the family has expired.
Historical property
In Mecklenburg Thurow was with the family from 1783 to 1789 and in Silesia in the district of Strehlen until 1818 Kreutzberg and Türpitz .

coat of arms
The coat of arms (1652) is divided diagonally to the right , at the top three red roses placed diagonally to the right in gold , and a silver entrenchment in blue below . On the helmet with gold-red blankets on the left and blue-silver blankets on the right, the roses on green stems, each accompanied by a blue and a gold ostrich feather .
