Rossen Christow (also Rosen Hristov, Bulgarian Росен Христов ; born May 18, 1982 in Sofia ) is a Bulgarian ice hockey player who has played for HK CSKA Sofia since 2012 .

Career

Rossen Christow began his career as a hockey player at HK Slavia Sofia , for whom he made his debut in the Bulgarian ice hockey league in the 2004/05 season . With Slavia he was in 2005, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012 the Bulgarian national championship and 2006 runner-up. In 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011 he also won the cup competition with the club . After his sixth championship, he moved to local rivals HK ZSKA Sofia , with whom he won the championship and cup double in 2013 and 2014. In 2015 he switched to SK Irbis-Skate , with which he became Bulgarian champion again in 2016 and 2016.

International

In the junior division, Christow played for Bulgaria at the U18-D European Championship 1998 and the European Division II of the U18 World Championship 1999 and 2000 as well as the U20-D World Championship 1999 and 2000 and the U20 World Championship of Division III 2001 and 2002 .

With the Bulgarian men's national team , Christow took part in the World Championships of Division II in 2005 , 2006 , 2008 , 2009 , 2010 and 2012 as well as Division III in 2014 . He also represented his colors at the qualifying tournaments for the Winter Olympics in Turin in 2006 , in Vancouver in 2010 and in Pyeongchang in 2018 .
