The Route 21 or R 21 is a highway in the Sultanate of Oman . The trunk road leads from the beginning of the provincial capital Nizwa via Bahla through the northern Rub al-Kali to the border with the United Arab Emirates . In the UAE, the E7 trunk road leads to Al-Ain . Some sections of the route have been expanded to form a motorway.
