The Route 3 or shortly R3 is a side street in the Sultanate of Oman. The road runs from Bu Baqarah R / A to the border with the United Arab Emirates. The R3 is a normal back road with one lane on each side. Instead of the designation R3, Aswad Road is common.

Route 3 begins at Bu Baqarah R / A. From here you can get to Bu Baqara and via the R1 to the north to the Chatmat border station , and to the south to Schinas , Suhar and Muscat . The R1 leads through a steppe landscape to Aswad . Before that you can only turn south onto one street. After Aswad, the R3 only leads 3 kilometers to the border with the United Arab Emirates. The sand runway begins about a kilometer from the border. At the border, a new motorway then leads further into the interior of the Emirates.
