Roxann Dawson
Roxann Dawson (also Roxann Biggs-Dawson; born September 11, 1958 in Los Angeles , California ) is an American actress and director .
biography
Dawson was born as Roxann Caballero. From 1985 to 1987 she was married to the actor Casey Biggs (also seen in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine as Legate Damar ), which is why she was listed as Roxann Biggs in the credits from 1988 to 1994 . In 1994 she married casting director Eric Dawson, with whom she has two daughters.
Dawson studied drama at the University of California, Berkeley , graduating in 1980. In New York City she had roles in various theaters and plays, including A Chorus Line .
Dawson was best known for the series Star Trek: Spaceship Voyager (1995-2001), in which she played Lieutenant B'Elanna Torres . Since the end of the series, Dawson has mainly worked as a director, including for Charmed - The Magic Witches , Crossing Jordan - Pathologist with Profile , OC, California , Cold Case - No Victim Is Ever Forgotten and Star Trek: Enterprise .
She also supports the Half the Sky Foundation , a foundation to help orphans in China. Among other things , she auctioned her mask of B'Elanna Torres and donated the proceeds.
