Larisa Roxana Giurgiu , known as Roxen (born January 5, 2000 in Cluj-Napoca ) is a Romanian singer who is under contract with Global Records .

life and career

Larissa Roxana Giurgiu was born in Cluj-Napoca . Roxen discovered her passion for music at the age of seven.

Together with the Romanian producer Sicktoy, they will release the song You Don't Love Me in August 2019 .

The single achieved commercial success in Romania and reached number 3 on the regional AirPlay 100 charts. Her debut single "Ce-ți cântă dragostea" was released in November of the same year and reached number 26 in the charts.

At the beginning of February 2020 it was reported that Roxen was one of three singers shortlisted for the Eurovision Song Contest . The broadcaster TVR, who worked with the Global Records label on the Romanian selection , decided on February 11th that Roxen should represent the Eurovision Song Contest for Romania. The title Alcohol You was selected for this on a television show . However, the contest was canceled due to the continuing COVID-19 pandemic .
