Nicoleta Matei (born February 1, 1970 in Ploieşti ), known by her stage name Nico , is a Romanian singer. Together with Vlad Miriță she represented Romania at the Eurovision Song Contest 2008 in Belgrade , Serbia .

Nico and Vlad prevailed against their competitors in Romania's national preliminary decision for the Eurovision Song Contest and initially competed with their song Pe-o margine de lume in the first semi-final on May 20, 2008, where they finished 7th and thus themselves qualified for the final on May 24th. There they reached 20th place out of a total of 25 participants with a total of 45 points.
