Rudnik is a village with a Schulzenamt of Gmina Sułkowice in the Powiat Myślenicki of the Lesser Poland Voivodeship in Poland .
geography
The place is in the Salzburg foothills ( Pogórze Wielickie ) on the brook Piegżówka (also named Rudnik ) between the hills Barnasiówka (566 m, in the south) and Bukowiec (455 m, in the north), Sułkowice in the west and Jawornik in the east.
history
The place originated around the 14th century and was first mentioned in 1393, he had the sołtys (mayor) Zbyszek . Since 1394 he belonged to the Starostei Lanckorona .
During the first partition of Poland in 1772, Rudnik became part of the new Kingdom of Galicia and Lodomeria of the Habsburg Empire (from 1804).
In 1918, after the end of the First World War and the collapse of the Austro-Hungarian monarchy, Rudnik came to Poland. This was only interrupted by the occupation of Poland by the Wehrmacht in World War II . It then belonged to the General Government .
From 1975 to 1998 Rudnik was part of the Kraków Voivodeship .
