Rudolf Eisenmann
Georg Rudolf Eisenmann (born December 14, 1894 in Steinling , † April 1, 1954 in Regensburg ) was a German conductor , composer and music teacher .
Life
Eisenmann was the last of three children from the marriage of the teacher Christian Eisenmann (1865-1910) and the Eschenfelden mayor's daughter Frieda Pilhofer. He attended elementary school in Postbauer . At the age of ten he received piano and violin lessons from his father for the first time. At the age of 14 he came to Neustadt an der Aisch , where he, like his older brother Georg, attended the preparatory school. Like Georg, Rudolf then also attended the Royal Bavarian Teachers' Seminar in Altdorf near Nuremberg , which he successfully completed in 1913.
Before he was called up for military service in France and Russia, he was employed as a substitute teacher in Poppberg until 1915 . His first compositions were already being composed at this time. He was wounded in the war. After the war, he was first an assistant teacher in Wildenreuth , laid in June 1919 in Regensburg the state bankruptcy and then taught in Sulzbürg . At that time he decided to devote himself more to music. In 1920/1921 he took private lessons in counterpoint , free composition, score reading , conducting and instrumentation in addition to his teaching activities with August Scharrer in Nuremberg . On September 25, 1929 he married the Roman Catholic dye master's daughter Wally Allio. Since he was a Protestant himself and had to give Protestant religious instruction professionally, there were professional problems, so that in 1927 he finally went to Regensburg as a music teacher and teacher. From 1929 to 1932 he attended the master class for counterpoint, free composition and theory of form by Joseph Haas at the Academy of Music in Munich (today: University of Music and Theater Munich ). During the Second World War he was called up again for military service.
Eisenmann composed numerous vocal, choral and instrumental works. Since he also set time texts to music during the Nazi era, he was classified as a so-called “ fellow traveler ” by the US occupiers in the judicial chamber proceedings in 1945 and was not allowed to do school service until 1949. He died of a stroke in 1954 .
