Rudolf Friedrichs (architect)
Rudolf Friedrichs (* 1860 in Oldenburg ; † 1924 ) was a German architect , local politician and senator.
Life
Rudolf Friedrichs was born during the time of the Grand Duchy of Oldenburg .
In the late founding period of the German Empire , the architect was a member of the mayor council in Hanover from 1903 , and later also became vice- spokesman . From 1910 Friedrichs worked as an unpaid senator in Hanover.
Friedrichs was a specialist in department store construction , a member of the Association of German Architects and also managed construction projects in Herford and Halberstadt .
Famous works
- around 1900: Design for a bathing hall project in Hanover, mentioned in the building files for the Goseriedebad ; however, so far neither a description nor a construction plan have been found.
- 1901: Willy Cohn department store in Halberstadt, Schmiedestrasse
- 1908–1910: Residential and commercial building for the machine tool and hardware wholesaler Haedge & Richter on the - then - property at Lange Laube 30 , Hanover
- 1911: Georg von Cölln's house , Am Markte 8 in Hanover; erected until 1913 in steel frame construction; listed
- 1914: Georgstraße 24 (today's house number) for Rocholl & Heise
