Rudolf Höhnl (born April 21, 1946 in Pernink ) is a former Czechoslovakian ski jumper .
Career
Höhnl began his international career by participating in the Four Hills Tournament in 1965/66 , where he achieved his best result with 12th place in Innsbruck . At the Four Hills Tournament in 1968/69 he achieved sixth place in Partenkirchen and Bischofshofen for the first time, placing him in the top ten. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in 1970 , he just missed the medal ranks from the normal hill with fourth place. On January 3, 1971, he succeeded in jumping in Innsbruck on the occasion of the Four Hills Tournament 1970/71 for the first time with a third place on the podium. In the same year Höhnl won the Knight's Tour of Friendship in the GDR . After further good results at the Four Hills Tournament Höhnl flew to fifth place at the ski flying world championship in 1973 in Oberstdorf . Five days later he won his first individual competition in the Four Hills Tournament in Bischofshofen. In the end, he finished 6th in the tour's overall ranking. He also won the bronze medal on the large hill at the Nordic World Ski Championships in Falun, Sweden, on February 23, 1974 . At the Four Hills Tournament 1974/75 he finished 7th in the overall standings before he left the international stage with an 8th place at the Four Hills Tournament 1975/76 .
