Philip of Burgundy (Admiral)
Philip of Burgundy (* around 1450; † July 4, 1498 in Bruges ), Lord of Beveren , was a son of Anton of Burgundy , who in turn was an illegitimate son of Duke Philip the Good .
In 1478 he was made a Knight of the Order of the Golden Fleece . Through his marriage to Anna von Borsselen, the daughter of Wolfhart VI. Borsselen of (the marriage contract comes on 4 March 1485), which earned Zeeland power base of the house Borsselen : Zandenburg , Veere , Vlissingen , Brouwer Haven , West Chapel and Duyvelandt . On May 31, 1486 he took the oath as Lord of Veere after his father-in-law had died a few days earlier on April 29, 1486 . In 1491 he followed Cornelis van Bergen as Admiral of the Netherlands.
Philipp and Anna had four children:
