Rudolf Habetin
Rudolf Habetin (born September 21, 1902 in Leipzig , † February 18, 1986 in Cologne ) was a German writer .
Life
Rudolf Habetin attended a citizens ' school in Leipzig and then a teachers' seminar . He studied then German and Modern Languages at the University of Leipzig and Paris . He completed this course with the state examination for teaching at secondary schools; In 1933 he received his doctorate in philosophy with a thesis on Friedrich Hölderlin . He was a teacher and since 1940 as a teacher at schools in the Erzgebirge , in Berlin and Leipzig operates. He took part in the Second World War as a soldier in the Wehrmacht and was taken prisoner by the Americans . After the end of the war he worked again as a teacher, first in Bamberg and from 1952 in Cologne .
Rudolf Habetin's literary work, which also includes short stories and essays , consists mainly of poems . The author, whose poetry is stylistically strongly influenced by late expressionism , often wrote poems on topics such as nature and transience, as well as urban poetry .
Rudolf Habetin was a member of the PEN Center of the Federal Republic of Germany , the Association of German Writers , the European Authors 'Association “Die Kogge” and the Ruhr-Mark authors' group . In 1932 he received the Leipzig City Literature Prize, the West German Broadcasting Prize in 1956 and the Hermann Sudermann Foundation Prize in 1976 .
