Rupert Penry-Jones (born September 22, 1970 in London , England ) is a British actor . His parents Angela Thorne and Peter Penry-Jones as well as his brother Laurence Penry-Jones are also actors.

life and career

Rupert Penry-Jones attended Bristol Old Vic and was a member of the Royal Shakespeare Company . Penry-Jones received the Ian Charleson Award for his role as Don Carlos . In 1994 he made his debut in front of the camera with Rutger Hauer and Miranda Richardson in Vaterland . With his mother Angela Thorne , Penry-Jones starred in the 1995 television film Cold Comfort Farm .

In the following years he appeared in various television productions. In 2001, Penry-Jones starred opposite Cate Blanchett in the melodrama The Love of Charlotte Gray and in 2002 with Heath Ledger in the historical drama The Four Feathers . From 2004 to 2008 he played the agent Adam Carter in the British television series Spooks - In the sights of MI5 . In 2005, Penry-Jones appeared in Woody Allen's film Match Point .
