Street description
The RN10 begins in the village of Villa del Rosario on the Paraguay River . The road runs east through the savannah. One of the few bypass roads in Paraguay has been built around Itacurubí del Rosario . You then reached the small town of San Estanislao, where you cross Ruta 3 and Ruta 8. The RN10 runs about 35 kilometers south, and then continues to the northeast. The road runs eastwards and ends in the town of Salto del Guairá. A side street then continues to the Brazilian border, which is a connection with the BR-163.
history
The RN10 is traditionally a rather minor east-west route in this area. From 2001 to 2003 the route was paved in some places, today it is paved along its entire length. Around 2011 a ring road was built around Itacurubí del Rosario, one of the first bypasses in Paraguay.
