The Ruta 2 , also called Mariscal José Félix Estigarribia , is a 132 km long expressway in Paraguay and connects the cities of Asunción and Coronel Oviedo .
State of development
The trunk road, together with Ruta 7, which continues to Ciudad del Este , forms the most important road connection in Paraguay. From Asunción to Ypacarai, Ruta 2 has two lanes and a total of four lanes. The rest of the route is mostly equipped with one lane in each direction, which will be extended to six to eight lanes at some traffic focal points. In 2013, the four-lane expansion of the road began as part of a government improvement and expansion project.
