Capiatá ( Guaraní Kapi'atã ) is a city in the Central Department in Paraguay with about 232,000 inhabitants (estimate 2018).

It is located 20 km east of the state capital Asunción and can be reached from there via the national roads 1 and 2. Capiatá borders on seven other cities: Areguá , Itauguá , Juan Augusto Saldívar , Luque , Ñemby , San Lorenzo and Ypané .

In September 2015, the Japanese company Sumitomo Wiring Systems opened a factory for the production of electrical car parts in the Capiatá industrial park.
