The Ruta 6 , according to Dr. Juan León Mallorquín , is a trunk road in Paraguay . As a north-south connection, it runs over a length of 247 kilometers through the southeast of the country from Encarnación to Minga Guazú .
Street description
The Ruta 6 begins in the city of Encarnación near the Argentine border. The road runs more or less parallel to the border with Argentina, which is formed by the Río Paraná . There are very few places along the route. The road leads north through an undulating hilly landscape with agricultural areas and ends near Minga Guazú at an intersection with Ruta 7 , west of the city of Ciudad del Este .
history
The road is traditionally a regional link, but with the increase in international trade in the Mercosur area in the 1990s, the importance of Ruta 6 increased as the parallel route through Argentina in the province of Misiones is unpaved. The north-south traffic from Brazil to Argentina runs on the better-developed route through Paraguay, as the entire route is paved.
