The Ruta 7 , named after José Gaspar Rodríguez de Francia , is a 193 km long expressway in Paraguay and connects the city of Coronel Oviedo via Caaguazú with a connection to the Ruta 13 and Minga Guazú with a connection to the Ruta 6 with Ciudad del Este on the border to Brazil .

State of development

Together with Ruta 2, the trunk road forms the most important road in Paraguay to Asunción . It has two lanes for the first 50 km from Coronel Oviedo to Caaguazú, with one lane in each direction. The stretch from Caaguazú to Minga Guazú, 20 km west of Ciudad del Este, has been expanded to four lanes and should be completed in December 2018.
